11/12th March

Jill Hill and I travel to Crufts, neither of us have dogs entered, so we have a relaxing couple of days and get a chance to look around the stalls.  It was a lovely day especially seeing my good friend Lynn Bailey and her lovely Shay (Newlin Victor Of Salenko JW ShCM) winning the RDCC under judge Jane May.

7th

Jim judges at Sheffield and district, the entry was very low but there was a club   show on the same day so understandable........Jim judges the dogs and his BD was Burrows.......Summerlilly Step Lively.... Kelly Vaughan judged the bitches and her BB was Susan Arden’s Barterhound Rosebud at Madika JW ShCM who went on to get BOB.

30th January 2010

Our very handsome Ivor, now known as Bailey, (which is such as coincidence considering his human granny is Lynn Bailey) went to his new home today, he joins Elaine, Andy and Max (who was from our last litter) ……Bailey has settled in really well and is enjoying being spoiled and playing with Max…….I’m sure they will have a wonderful friendship….  Isla on the other hand is missing her brother like crazy but our new addition Marada Maja (who will be known a Maya) joins us on Sunday 7th February so Isla will have someone her own size (well nearly) to play with again……………

To quote Rabbie Burns
"The best laid schemes o' mice an' men / Gang aft agley."…………
…….we had planned to mate Dee in about 6 days time……….to Ch Bedeway Artful…..  Bru and Dee had obviously had different plans and this morning they mated!!!!  Now, it’s not too bad as we had that mating (Bru x Dee) in the plan for some point in the future ….just not now…….  Anyway the deed is done, so we will hopefully have Bruadair puppies around Easter weekend….. Watch this space

9th

Paisley & Dist…..again the weather was very bad but this show is only a few miles from our house so we braved the conditions……the venue was freezing cold…..6 beagles were entered, only two turned up our Dee and Liz Calikes with Bailey…….  Bailey beat Dee in Open and got Gp 3……the judge today was Mrs M Boulcott.

3rd

Kilmarnock & Dist should have been our first show of the year…… unfortunately the snow was very bad and I decided not to risk the journey, so we stayed in by the fire………

Happy New Year!!

Apologies for not updating the website (as often as we usually do) towards the end of 2009, things happened within the family, our little grandson Aidan is ill and our time was taken up with puppies but hopefully things will get back to normal very soon……. Aidan is coping very well with his treatment and we have everything crossed for his recovery………

Cheri and Shay’s puppies are looking very nice indeed…..and as we cannot decide between them they will both be staying with us (for a while anyway till we see how they develop) and joining the pack at Bruadair…….. We are looking forward to an exciting 2nd half of the year when we get the youngsters in the ring….they will hopefully be joined by another youngster as we will be introducing a Marada puppy in early Feb, she will be from a mating by Marada Venus & Bruadair Buadhmhor ShCM  (BRU) bred by Carole & Alf Wood.
