Four Counties Beagle Club
18/03/12 – Judge Ms Jo Norris
1st Post Grad & RDCC – Loved the shape and balance
of this dog who caught my eye when he entered the ring. Lovely
masculine head with mild appealing expression. Good
pigmentation and dark eye. Straight front and nice tight
feet. Good layback of shoulder and well let down chest. Level
topline held on the move. Strong hindquarters which enabled
him to drive out today. Shown in top condition and well
presented. Pleased to award him RDCC.

2nd Graduate – Tri from smaller mould, well balanced. Good
pigmentation, moving true out and back. Firm level topline
and good quarters, well presented.

1st Open & BOB - 23mnths, blanket tri. Nicely balanced,
pretty head, dark eye and ear set. Good front with plenty of
fill, good bone, exc feet. Strong neck into good lay of
shoulder, strong topline, well ribbed and deep chest. Strong
hind quarters, moved really well, lovely hound.

1st Beagle Open, BOB & GP 1 – an impressive young male who
I liked a lot: he has a typical head and is balanced both when
standing and on the move. True well made front with
particularly good pasterns: good body of pleasing proportions.
Overall houndy and good size. Moved extremely well with
reach and drive. Later good to see him go Reserve Best in
Show.

Reserve Best In Show – Eye catching beagle, 21 month old male
who excels in size, shape and overall confirmation. He is
typical in head with lovely shape, set and hang of ears
framing his superb expression. He impressed on the move
especially in side gait.

drive when settled. Nice head, good ear set , soft eye, clean
neck into well laid back shoulders. Kept topline on the move
Group 1 – 17 month old yound dog that had to pull out all the
stops to win this lovely hound group. Tri, very well balanced
young man, masculine head with soft expression. Nice length of
neck leading into good shoulder placement. Round bone. Well
padded feet. Good deep chest. Level topline which he kept on
the move. Good ribbing. Well muscled quarters. Moved with
reach & drive.

expression but masculine with it, good length and ribbing,

easily to him. All this and not quite 17 months !!!

Grad 1st, BOB & GP 2 – maturing well, compactly built,
extrovert, active and has stamina, liked his head shape,
slightly domed skull, equidistant ratios, eye shape and colour,
dense pigmentation, good ears and carriage, lovely front
assembly. A1 spring of rib & depth of chest, nicely
balanced in shape. A little erratic in hind action going away
but settled & in profile when moving has lovely front reach
and drive from the rear. Well handled and presented.

A 15month old
tri dog who headed up two good classes. Good shaped head
with excellent dark pigment and correct scissor bite. Good
length of neck, straight front with lovely round bone and
tight feet. Short backed and coupled with level topline, good
bend of stifle and hocks well let down, muscled thighs that he
used well on the move to drive round the ring.

Miss S Marston-Pollock - Beagle judge Mr G Clacher (Misken)
Young dog who
won BOB out of junior under a different judge, to myself I found
him, sturdy & compact. He had a good head with plenty of
stop and an alert expression. Long rounded ears. Suitably long
neck into clean, well laid shoulders with plenty of forechest.
Good bone and substance with a level topline. Plenty bend of
stifle. Moved well around the ring. A lot to like about him.
Beagle Junior 1st – Compact
15month old tri dog with nicely proportioned head and good width
at the back on the move, when his topline held well, super feet.
The best yet from these kennels in my opinion....BOB & RBIS
